The dunnage airbag are inserted into the void spaces between the pallets during the transportation by the sea-containers, rails or trucks. As the bag is inflated, it gently pushed the load away from itself, wedging it against the walls of the container. -          The outer lines is made of polywoven laminated material which offers the high strength. It is also moisture resistant and more durable than the other products as Paper airbag…Material is virgin and hence friendly environmental and 100% recycleable.

-          The inner liner is constructed of PA-PE five layers of co-extruded polyethylene film for added protection against loss of air pressure and hencewithstand high pressure longer than the other products in the market.

-          The valve: double protection:

* With special construction, when air enters, the valve closes automatically from the inside. The more airbag is inflated -the more pressure builds up from the inside and the the more tightly valve closes.

* Double protection due to valve closure outside.

-          The big valve to restrict the air going down during the inflation, hence the bag can be inflated quickly.

You will require an air compressor unit which can be bought in local market, and inflation gun.

FREQUENT Q&A 

1/ How to choose the right airbag ?

1.      Select a bag with a suitable length by measuring distance from floor to top of load and select a bag size that is closest to the measured leghth

2.      Select a bag with a suitable width by measuring the void between cargos and select a bag width that has about 2~3 times of the measured void.

 The maximum void between cargos is typically 1/3 of bag width. 

2/Recommendation for using EuroPoly Dunnage Airbag:

- Choose the bag with the length closest to the height of the pallets and the width about  2-3 times of void space between the pallets. The maximum void space between the pallets equal 1/3 the bag’s height is recommended. Do not use the airbag with the length bigger than the height of cargo pallets.

- Don’t use 2 or more aibags to fill one void space.

- Position the airbag at least 1 inch/2.5cm above the floor.

- The dunnage airbag can be inserted between the pallets or the container side walls.

- Don’t use dunnage airbag for the back door of the container/truck. Instead, placing the airbag between the pallets’ top and container roof is recommended.

3/ Is it necessary to protect the Airbag:

To ensure product integrity, it is crucial for a corrugated or some other type of smooth surface be placed on either side of the dunnage air bag to protect it from anything sharp such as pallets, wooden crates, or other rough edges. (i.e. wooden crated, pallets, etc.).

4/ What can be used to reduce void when exceeding maximum recommended size?

Corrugated void fillers, cardboard panels or old pallets can be placed either against the side wall of the truck or the sea container, or in between the air bag and the load to be secured.

Pinwheeling the pallets (Turning one pallet in length direction and the other one in width direction) where air bags are used will also reduce the void.
